Merry Christmas...

The last couple of Christmas's have been spent with us opening our presents in Tucson and then leaving to drive up to Salt Lake.  This year we had Christmas with my family at the house I grew up in.  

This year the kids asked Santa for Disneyland Tickets...Tyler and I were not sure if that was a traditional kind of gift that Santa passed out, but to our surprise Santa delivered...

           Looks like we're going to Disneyland...

Happy Thanksgiving...Tyler's Home!!!

After a year and a half, Tyler's special assignment in Manilla came to an end.  The kids and I drove up to Salt Lake City, UT to pick him up at the airport and spent Thanksgiving with our family there.  We had a wonderful time, none of us were expecting the zero degree temperatures as a massive cold front swept through all of Utah.  We spent a total of 11 bone chilling days there.  We had a great time with family and friends.  

Thanksgiving day was celebrated with the Johnson family and even included a couple hours at Fat Cats Bowling Ally.  

 We even went to Temple Square and saw the Christmas lights and yes it was freezing cold...

 We were supposed to leave Sunday morning but as you can see the snow was pretty bad..Thought we'd wait another day...

 Monday turned out to be worse than Sunday...We were officially snowed in until Tuesday Morning...Darn, we had to extend our vacation...

We've been fans of Ed since he played for the UofA.
 It's been fun watching him over the years, (Baltimore Ravens then Detroit Lions).
I'm so glad we got to see him during his first season with the Blaze.

Our goal was to spend as much time outside as possible;
 since in Tucson it is too hot to do just about anthing during the day. 

Donut Falls was our first hike of the season...

It was a perfect hike for our family.
 We soon learned however that the more we hiked...

the colder it got.
We were not expecting snow...
